You Can Change Your Decision

Here’s the thing about discernment: if you find yourself going down the wrong path or that you’ve actually committed to the wrong decision – YOU CAN CHANGE IT!

There is NOTHING that says you have to stick to it if you know that what you chose was not right. And, remember, we’re not talking about discerning good and bad. I’m talking about discerning two goods.

It’s possible that you can choose something and commit to it (which is good to own your decision!) and realize that it is not the right choice. God is asking you to pivot.

It takes humility to admit you were wrong and to keep an open heart and mind to what God is asking of you in the midst of discernment.

Now, I’m definitely not saying be wishy washy in what you choose. No! Take responsibility for your choices and for your life and be willing to be human!

We are broken and imperfect and we make mistakes. This is why God’s mercy is so incredible and why we need it so much!

So, if you find you’ve made a decision and it’s actually proving to not be the right one, ask God for the courage to change.

He makes all things new! Let Him be a part of the journey – not just the beginning and ending.

God loves us and desires the best for us! It’s okay to pivot plans – and to do so in peace! You’ve got this, friend. Stay close to Jesus! He’s got you. He sees you. He loves you!
